A home-screen app for shop staff, not an App Store download

Seasonal staff will not wait on an app-store review, and they will not keep a second password manager just to clock into the rental desk. They will use what is already on the phone.

A progressive web app is the site, installed. On a phone, the browser menu has Add to Home Screen. The icon opens the desk without the browser chrome, which is what people mean when they say it feels like an app.

That is a better fit for a rental counter than a native store listing. You ship a fix by updating the site. You do not ask every mechanic to tap Update before they can close a ticket.

Install does not replace logins or roles. The owner, the desk, and the mechanic still see different actions. The icon only gets them to the door faster.
